7/5/2010 - Nearly there....

6/27/2010 - Summer! Well the calendar says so anyway. It is time to put the tree drawing back in the closet and get busy on the breed studies once again. So, I'm starting with a Doberman Pinscher. And I thought I'd like to try to incorporate a hit of color with these. So, here is what is happening so far... only about 10 hours on him so far, so about a third of the way done. I am going to enjoy the short hair and bone structure to play with....

5/5/2010 - Wow what a busy few months! Mostly the time has gone to mvoing and getting settled in. I have been working on the holy well during this time. Finally have an update to share on the Holy Tree and Well. It is progressing, and I hope now to have it finished by the end of June.

Earlier work...

12/26/09 - So the owners of this fellow received the drawing yesterday. It was a gift from her to him after loosing their dog. I was able to be there when he received it. That look, that emotional connection they had with their dog in seeing the drawing, is what it is all about for me in doing these dog portraits. Nice drawings are great - drawings that touch something emotionally are... well, very cool indeed.

The Queen and Her Jestor. Another couple of family "friends" who shared our home for a time.

Some head studies. Working on technique.

Hope to do more of these.... little wildlife studies...

On The Easel

The easel is in storage at the moment. No new work taking place as I concentrate on pencil work for the next fe months.
